Over two years of intense evaluations and negotiations, Peru finally decided to get into the digital era choosing the ISDB-T standard (Integrates Services Digital Broadcasting Terrestrial) with the advances that may be at the moment of it implementation, as a terrestrial digital television (TDT).

TDT is one of the biggest innovations in which refers to high definition television image and sound. Because of that, since next September 21^st to 23^rd is going to be made in Lima the “1^st Meeting of the ISDB-T International Forum”, that will include with the participation of representative specialists of Japan, Argentina, Brazil and Peru.

It will be treated topics as the experiences referred to the transition process of the TDT, such like by the government authorities and by the broadcasting companies, making this forum an opportunity to interchange acknowledgements and expose the TDT situation of the different countries.
